We would like patients to consider attending our Community Food and Wellbeing Hub which is located at Fearon Hall on a Thursday.

This has been cancelled during the month of January but will recommence in February 2024. If you would like to be booked in to this please contact reception and a member of our team will add you to our clinic. Please see The Community Food and Wellbeing page in our latest news section for more details of or wellbeing clinic.

We have said Goodbye to one of our salaried GPs. Dr Jones.

We wish Dr Jones all the luck for the future and will miss him as he was a great doctor and asset to our team.

Bridge Street have undertaken some Research Projects, we have mailed out some letters to patients who meet the criteria to take part on our project. Please respond to the letter using the form and envelope provided. We thank you for taking part.

We have Partnered with Active Charnwood and we are going into 2024 with the aim of being more active and leading a healthier lifestyle. January is WALK YOUR DOG MONTH 2024. please use the links below to access Active together and have a look and some of the activities they provide, they can also process exercise referrals for patients who wish to be more active.

Are you struggling with your sleep?

We have received new information from Sleep Station on how patient can self refer and access therapy and additional support needed to tackle sleep problems. Please see Leaflets attached below for further information and QR codes to access the support.

SHARPS BIN COLLECTION is usually organised by contacting Charnwood Borough Council, you can now arrange this by visiting www.charnwood.gov.uk

Go to A-Z services, press option C for clinical waste, there will be a green box for Sharps collection and this will be collected on a Wednesday.

Cervical Cancer Prevention Week 2024 is scheduled January 22nd – January 28th, please make sure if you are due for a cervical screening, you contact your surgery to book an appointment with a nurse, this screening is very important and saves lives.

We would like to thank patients who have come forward and joined our patient participation group, we have enjoyed meeting the new members and discussing way in which you can help us make our surgery provide better care for our patients.

We are also currently working on creating more slots for our Digital Hub to enable patients to learn how to access online services, if this is something you would like to learn please contact reception.

Allied Pharmacy – Next door to the surgery are no longer providing a Dossette Box service or delivering medication.

TRAVEL VACCINATIONS

If you are not a registered patient at Bridge Street, we are now providing a travel vaccination service, if the nurse has availability we will be offering Vaccinations privately at a cost. Please enquire at Reception if you would like to book in for a travel consultation with Nurse Marjan or Julia.

 

Our Acute Respiratory Hub clinic for Chest infection and respiratory issues is still running Monday to Friday from 16.00pm – 18.00pm. This clinic is part or our PCN so we will also accept patients from Woodbrook Surgery, Parkview Surgery and Pinfold Gate Surgery. This is currently ran by our Advanced clinical practitioner Andrew Goodwin.
