REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS

For repeat prescriptions please allow up to three workings days (72 hours) from the day of request.

You can order your Repeat Prescriptions in the following ways:

• Through your Online Access either via the NHS App (easiest method) or our website
• Emailing our Prescribing Team on bsmp.prescription@nhs.net
• A Pharmacy can order on your behalf this has been agreed mutually.

We NO LONGER take Requests for Repeat Medication or Acute Requests over the telephone (unless mutually agreed, and this will be stated on your record)

PLEASE PUT YOUR REQUEST IN WITH PLENTLY OF TIME YOU CAN REQUEST UP TO 10 DAYS BEFORE YOU RUN OUT OF MEDICATION

ONLINE REGISTRATION

Patients wishing to request repeat prescriptions online need to obtain an internet booking registration form from the reception desk. Patients using this service are able to request repeat prescriptions 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

MEDICATION REVIEWS

There may be a delay in issuing prescriptions if patients have not attended for review, or if the drugs requested are not authorised on the computer for repeat prescribing. In these cases prescriptions will be issued at the discretion of the doctor concerned.
